How to Use Air Quality Monitor

How to use an air pollution analyzer? At present, there are many kinds of indoors air quality monitors on the market. Customers often do not know how to use it after purchase or first contact. Of course, contact the corresponding manufacturers or product customer service will be a faster solution. However, the following steps can be taken to standardize the use of air quality monitors.

Step 1: Determine Instrument Status

It is necessary to confirm the normal operation of the air pollution analyzer. You can check the status of the instrument by electrifying it first. Some air quality monitors with display function can see the relevant test data 5 to 10 minutes after power-on. And check whether each parameter has corresponding data display. Some air quality monitors without display function will also have on-line indicator lights, and such instruments need to log on to the data platform to determine the operation status of the instrument.

Step 1: Determine Instrument Status

It is necessary to confirm the normal operation of the air quality monitor.

Step 2: Distribution Network

Distribution network is the process of connecting the indoor air quality monitor with the router in the place. Because most air quality monitors have data platforms or mobile apps to view, the premise of the instrument output data is to connect to the network. At this time, we need to get the instrument instructions to carry out the distribution network according to the instructions on the distribution network steps. Of course, some of the instructions in the packaging of instruments do not cover how to distribute the network, so it is necessary to find out whether there are two-dimensional codes on the body of the instrument or on the packaging. After scanning the code, you may find a way to distribute the network.

Wired networks or wireless networks can also be used for distribution. The purpose is to connect the instrument to the internet.

Step 3: View data

When the distribution network is successful, a small part of the air quality monitor data can be viewed through the web page or mobile APP. But most manufacturers of air quality monitors set up an account and password checkpoint in this step for data privacy and security. That is to say, only with the account and password login software can we see the monitoring data of our equipment. It may be necessary to ask for product customer service or technology for account number and password.

Step 4: Check the parameters

After login to the software or the APP platform, you can see the data of the instrument in it. First, check whether each parameter has corresponding data. If some parameters do not have data, it may be because of the data output problem or gas sensor problem in the instrument. This requires consulting the manufacturer or product customer service to see how to troubleshoot. General air quality monitor will contain PM2.5, TVOC, CO2, formaldehyde and other basic data. With the upgrading of customer demand, parameters such as PM10, ozone (O 3), nitrogen oxides (NO 2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O 2), noise, light, temperature, humidity, and air pressure can also be selected. Of course, this belongs to the purchase level of demand.

Step 5: Choose a location

See if there are backboards or brackets in the air quality monitor package. The installation of hanging wall or ceiling can be carried out with back plane, while the bracket can be placed on the desktop. Of course, it's all personal preferences. If the indoor traffic is large, or there are naughty children, it is recommended to hang the wall or ceiling installation. Avoid more people fiddling with air quality monitors. Because the instrument has built-in precision sensors, frequent collisions may lead to inaccurate monitoring parameters, or even damage.

After the above steps, the continuous air monitoring system can be used normally. However, it should be noted that the air quality monitor should not be placed next to the high temperature or high humidity source, which will interfere with the accuracy of some monitoring parameters in the instrument. Correct use and maintenance is also the key to prolong the service life of air quality monitor.
