What is CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System)?

What is CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System)?

CEMS refers to the system which can monitor continuously the concentration and emission of gaseous pollutant and PM (particulate matter) in atmospheric pollution and transfer the information to public authority to view.

CEMS cems monitoring system consists of four parts, dust monitor, gas pollutant monitor, flue gas parameter monitor and system control and DAS. It can have an online measurement of the concentration of SO2, NOx, CO, CO2 and PM, oxygen content, temperature and humidity and several gas parameters (such as pressure and flow).

In order to protect the environment, local environmental protection authorities will, in light of local conditions and the requirements of the SEPA (State Environmental Protection Administration), set standards for the discharge of pollutants suitable for each region. Therefore, the environmental protection department will monitor the emission of fixed air source enterprises in real time. CEMS monitoring system can send measurement results to the environmental monitoring platform wirelessly or in other ways in time to meet the requirements of the environmental protection department and avoid unreasonable punishment by the environmental protection department.

What Can a Portable Ftir Gas Analyzer Test?

Portable FTIR gas analyzer is a gas testing system with accessibility, optional analysis component, lightweight and portable. The unique infrared spectroscope can detect many gases accurately in sequence in a single unit. Besides, with the special design, the portable FTIR gas analyzer wavelength generator can choose the wavelength in a rapid and accurate way. The portable ftir analyzer can continuously monitor all kinds of components in emission, such as SO2, NOx(NO, NO2), CH4, NH3, HCl, HF, CO, CO2, O2, H2O and so on. It can also be extended to the measurement of other components according to the actual requirement.

Difference Between Laser Gas Analyzer and Extraction Analyzer

Extraction analyzer has the function of dilution, solid phase extraction, heating, gas diffusion and dialysis. The more advanced laser gas analyzer comes up in the market due to the complex process and limited application.

On the other hand, In-situ gas analyzer is a solid and durable process analyzer, which can realize stable measurement in severe environment of high temperature and pressure, active gas, irritant gas and high concentrations of dust. Because it can measure the gas in flue directly, it reduces the installation and maintenance costs. Rapid measuring protects interference from other gases, acquiring higher accuracy than other analyzers. It has been widely applied in continuous gas detection in industrial production process, emission monitoring of flue gas pollution sources, large space gas detection and environmental analysis.
